Elon Bruner, M.A. CCC

Speech-Language Pathologist

Owner
Elon is a clinical Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatrics. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA). Elon received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida in 1997. She is the owner and the lead therapist at TheraKids, Inc. Elon previously worked at the University of Florida Speech and Hearing Center at Shands Hospital for five years as a clinical faculty member. However, she felt a desire to assist in the community in which she called "home." Therefore, in 2002, Elon established TheraKids, Inc. here in Ocala.
Kelsey Cannady,

Speech-Language Pathologist
Kelsey is a clinical Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatrics. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Kelsey received a Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida in 2010. She began her internship here in January of 2010 and now works as a Master's level clinician. Kelsey has an interest in the field of Alternative Augmentative Communication and the use of both high and low tech communication devices.

Speech-Language Pathologist
Emily is a clinical Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatrics. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Emily received her Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida in 2015. Before returning to her hometown of Ocala to serve the community she calls home, she received an extensive clinical education at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital which cultivated her love for kids, their families and helping them reach their full potential
Audrey Shinksy, M. S.

Pathology Clinical Fellow
Audrey is a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow specializing in pediatrics. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language and Hearing Science from San Diego State University and a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2023. Audrey prioritizes meeting clients and their families wherever they are in their therapy journeys in order to provide personalized services that fit the needs of the families she serves.
Melissa Singletary, B.A.

Pathology Assistant
Melissa Singletary is a clinical Speech-Language Pathology Assistant specializing in pediatrics. Melissa received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Florida in 2010. She previously worked for two years within the Alachua County School System with children who have language, speech, reading, writing, and cognitive needs.

Priscilla Mendoza is a clinical Speech-Language Pathology Assistant specializing in pediatrics. Priscilla received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida in 2012. She previously worked at Beth Ingram Therapy Services for two years in a clinical and school based setting.
Kara Cannon,

Pathologist - Teletherapy
Kara is a clinical Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatrics. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Kara received a Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Florida in 2008. She completed her Clinical Fellowship Year here in 2009, moved to other cities within Florida, and returned to TheraKids Inc. in 2024 as a teletherapy provider. Kara has a variety of experiences working in public schools, private schools, outpatient clinics, teletherapy, home health, and the natural environment. Her current professional interests include literacy, apraxia in older children, and speech sound disorders.
